At Mobo Group we continue to look for positives out of the COVID-19 situation. As a result of health and safety measures put in place due to COVID-19, our Employment Services offices are currently managing appointments with jobseekers remotely through phone and video conference. This presented an opportunity to drop-in to the Victor Harbor site to visit staff and arrange a repainting of the site offices.

Pictured is Employment Services Area Manager for the Fleurieu Joan along-side Employment Services Officer Elise.  Joan and Elise were excited to get their hands dirty taking down pictures and posters in addition to clearing away many years of accumulated clutter.

As we have seen with increased donations to our Salvage and Save operations since COVID-19 restrictions commenced, this time does present the perfect opportunity for a refresh of the environments in which we live and work.

Elise pictured with the box has taken "Before Painting" pictures which will be compared with "Post Painting" pictures in the coming days.  We look forward to sharing the bright new pictures showing the fresh environment which will be waiting to support jobseekers who return to the office for face-to-face meetings as soon as restrictions are lifted.  In the meantime, our Employment Services team continue to operate from remote home-based locations and a limited onsite presence across our various sites to maintain service and support to the many jobseekers we support.

It would be remiss of me to not mention the business enterprises teams of Fleurieu Lawns and Gardens, South Coast Firewood and Victor Harbor Paper Shredding services which also operate from the Victor Harbor site. These teams of staff and supported employees continue to operate during the COVID-19 restrictions by following the necessary safe work practices. With more and more people spending time at home, we are servicing an unprecedented demand for firewood and have recently extended our operating hours to include Saturday's making it even easier for the community to access our firewood products.
